The Food of the Chameleon restaurant

The Chameleon restaurant specialises in Rijst-tafel
(rice table), a combination of many exotic and authentic
dishes and an excellent introduction to Indonesian cuisine

When the Dutch colonised Indonesia, each wealthy
household would have cooks from several of the
islands. Each cook would prepare a special dish native
to their own island. These dishes would be combined
at the dinner table to become Rijst-tafel (rice table).

Each Rijst-tafel is designed to suit one person
(excluding Rijst-tafel 5). In terms of quantity Rijst-tafel 1
would be equivalent to a very large European main course.

All Beef, Chicken and Pork used in The Chameleon restaurant is 100% Irish and traceable back to the farm. All of our ingredients fresh and of the highest quality and are sourced locally whenever possible.
