As neither of us had eaten all day, the crackers disappeared with unseemly haste, but they were replenished at once. The menu is very informative about Indonesian cuisine. The Chameleon offers 5 varieties of Rijst - Tafel; we ordered the first & second, to get as much variety as possible.Each plate had nine foods & came with two styles of rice, a salad dish and some noodles. From the fairly brief but well-chosen wine list, we ordereda Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Combes d'Arneu 98. Two roastingly hot blocks of metal were put on the table, quickly followed by the platters of food & the bowls of rice, one plain, the other fried and prepared with vegetables. These were joined by a delightful salad bowl. To complete the table was a large & very hot dish of deliciously cooked noodles.The two platters included skewers of satay chicken on one & satay beef on the other; there were also two other chicken dishes, a beef cooked in lime, a prawn dish, a beautiful sliced pork dish, crab cake & vegetable dishes among
